within thy breath.

the watchful moon goodbye.

The sleepy sun passing by.

I can no longer find
a pattern on my mind
a star within my sky.
Tell me a reason why;
I can no longer think,
or turn or twitch or blink
without thine shadow nigh.
Tell me a reason why;
I can no longer breathe,
I can no longer sigh,
or keep thee on my sight
or kiss the morning light
that thou cast off thine eye.
Tell me a reason why;
I must bid thee farewell,
& bear a burning hell
To only tell thee “Hi”.
& wander even yet —
remember where we met?
& where we met those eyes,
& where we sighed those sighs.
& wander even yet —
So hard those times we let,
much as recurring goodbyes;
So hard that it never dies.

If it is thou I’m with.

Until there is no grief or sorrow or regret.

Until we beat together those demons that I met.

Out of this weary world of pain & toil & sweat.

this life in just one sigh
— my life is just one breath.
Need I no reasons why,
For it is thee I’m with,
& I can never die.
So long as much I wander,
I shall not wonder why.
