O’God our God, the God of Day,
The God of all unbroken, untouched,
Don’t set us crushed,
Yet as we pray,
as our hearts beat,
delivers us from this bittersweet,
unyielding, unending, dismay,
O’God our God, the God of Day…
O’ God our God, The God of Sky,
Our God in the deepest darkest hour,
Don’t let us cower,
Yet as we die,
Forgive us what’s not in our power,
& have our hearts hold to each why,
We raise our trust in you as high,
O’ God our God, the God of Sky…
O’God our God, the God of Light,
Our Darkness break us in all might,
Yet as we pray,
Our night turns day,
& though Pains are more than hearts can take,
& Life looks like one full mistake,
one full heartbreak,
O’God our God, Forgive Today,
The doubts we have, for still we pray,
For still, in pains & blood, & sweat, O’God,
For still we fight,
To keep all our chaos at bay,
O’God our God, the God of Light,
The God of Day,…
O’God our God, Through our heartache,
we can’t but break,
For all hope found, found at a stake,
O’God our God, shelter our mind,
from a world, unendingly unkind,
& though, to all your ways, we’re blind,
leave us not, for naught, behind,…
O’God our God, right each mistake,
Keep us confined,…
From all folly of our youth,
Keep all mankind,
In Love, affined;
Keep us in truth…
O God our God, Our Faith in Doubt,
Our Keeper, within & without,
As Above; beneath, below,
O’God, Our God, we live in awe,
of all belief, what we perceive,
we see it all in all; the terrors,
the emptiness of human errors,
A knowledge we need never know,
O’God our God, don’t shut us out,
Thy own Devout,
But have us, all your bliss, receive,
amidst our grief..
O’God our God, Our Only One,
We fly our way, closer to Sun,
& even though we strive to grow,
through floods & flare,
One day, We’ll cease to be right there,
That day, we seize, shall cease to be,
Shall cease to flow, shall cease to flee,
O’God once we, turn back to thee,
out of our worldly despair,
Forgive us our pride amidst air;
In all thine Love, Thou sure not shun,
Thy seekers knowing you are One,
O’God our God, Our God Beyond,
& Beyond our pain,
Beyond the ends of all despair,
O’God, we pray we are not there,
In abject vile and dark disdain,
O’God our God, the price of Living,
of loving, of giving,
of being with you,
is steep, yet deep, as much you give,
we endure, we live,
but poor we are, in a world afar,
with doors ajar,
out of your grace,
O’God, turn us not from your face,…
But have us be,
as much can be,
with Thee, in Thee,…
Before we’re swallowed by the deep,
Before, eternally, we sleep,
Before we sin; as we despond,
O’God our God, Our God Beyond,…
Such darkness is not ours,
yet all those evil powers,
Such, through our darkness, spawned,
O’God our God Beyond,
Beyond the dark abyss,
O’God deliver this,
Our frail heart that thou bless,
Into the Complete Bliss…
O God our God, The God of Light,
Tonight, we pray,
To have us not estranged, astray,
But have us break out of this night,
into the dawn,
O’God we waned,… being alone,
Don’t let us fright,
O’God we never are our own,
Though children we, as we should be,
The heralds of thine Morning Light,
& though each night, we mourn and grief,
The Morn to come, we set belief,
Into the Way,
O’God, Our God, the God of Day,
Tonight we pray,
Before we lose ourselves and stray,
Though we seem lost,
in you we trust,
To you, we pray,
To witness one more break of day,
In its full glory and might,
O’God, Our God… The God of Light…
O’ God, Our God,
Whether we know, or we know not,
Thou hear our prayer,
Thou set us free,
out of this world, so doomed & flawed…
O’God, Our God,
Don’t keep us there,
In such a world of forged flair,
But have us be,
Until we’ve lived never for naught,
Until we’ve given all we’ve got,
Until we’ll be brought back to thee;
O’God our God, Deliver me…
O’God our God, I left this Life,
I stay a Man of constant strife,
Into thy Fear,
thou keep me near,
As I call thy name unto my ear,
Each second, each day, & every year,
This Life I left, So I can roam.
the Earth, that shall not roam my heart,
O’God, I’ve set this life apart,
Being right here, with you, at home,
O’God our God, of every soul, aware, alive,
Help me unlive, & in you thrive,
O’God our God, God of all Life…
